A personal story.
A shared purpose.

TheSuddenDifference.org grew from Temple’s wish to help families feel less alone when a child suddenly seems different.

About this project

TheSuddenDifference.org began with Temple’s experience of a childhood that changed suddenly—and a search for answers that took nearly a year. She is sharing that chapter of her life to help another family feel less alone and more prepared to ask for help.

Our aim is simple: help parents, teachers, and communities notice sudden changes, find trustworthy information, and start a thoughtful conversation with a healthcare professional. We hope to make unfamiliar terms easier to understand while keeping the limits of the evidence clear.

This project brings together a personal story, a guide to signs worth discussing, and original clinical resources. It is a starting point for questions and connection. Temple’s voice and experience are at its heart, and the project can grow as she chooses what to share next.

Our purpose

We share Temple’s story, accessible information about PANS, and links to clinical references. This is an awareness project, not a healthcare provider or diagnostic service.

Our approach to information

Health information is linked to the National Institute of Mental Health or the American Academy of Pediatrics. We identify gaps in the evidence and distinguish personal experience from clinical information. See our resources and source-checking notes.
